This is why the feasibility assessment is important. It answers the questions: is a project feasible and likely to succeed, and does it comply with carbon standards requirements? If the answer is yes and your relevant stakeholders are supportive, then you are ready to submit the PIN and have all the information to do so.

Blue Carbon Academy - Module 2: Development & Design (PDD)


After establishing the project is feasible and the approval of a project's PIN, project proponents are ready to develop a Project Design Document (PDD). This document is the result of a thorough and comprehensive process that is crucial for the success of a blue carbon project. This module addresses all the key aspects of this process, including designing best-practice restoration and conservation activities, engaging local communities, implementing science-based carbon accounting, and ensuring financial success.
